My name is Mary-Beth Johnson, but you can call me Chef MB. I’m a Chicago-based private chef with a life-long obsession with good food, and even more with the meaningful ways time around the table shapes our homes and communities.
I believe that food should be a fully embodied experience.
It should draw your senses in, but also captivate you through history, anthropology, relationship with nature and earth, and the connection you feel to it.
When you work with me, you’re getting a personalized experience that picks up your own story, and weaves it together with the freshest ingredients, artful presentation, and mastered techniques that come both from traditional culinary techniques, and the kitchens of Abuelas and their embodied wisdoms.
